Associate 1 – “Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia – Central Direction job, training, education, equal opportunities, youth policy, research and university Education, higher education and research area”, Trieste, ITALY
Friuli Venezia Giulia Region is a local public body divided into directorates and services. The central directorate for work, education, training, equal opportunities, youth policies, university and research includes, among others, the higher education and research Area, that will be in charge for the implementation of project activities as associate partner. Each branch of the directorate has appointed an officer in charge for EU projects and international relations with language skills and sound knowledge on EU-related issues. The directorate is equipped with all the ICT tools necessary for the implementation of the project.
Contribution of the Associate to the project activities
KEPASS project, funded by IPA CBC Programme 2007-2013, has provided significant results in terms of harmonization of education systems in the Adriatic region through the setting up of a student mobility system for upper secondary schools. The mobility system was supported by a working methodology for the accreditation of schools and recognition of skills acquired in the course of mobility. Therefore, on such basis the contribution of Region FVG will strengthen the system of vocational training in the Adriatic-Ionian area in EUSAIR strategic sectors, and support the harmonization of education systems and training of the Adriatic-Ionian macroregion. Thanks to the cooperation with Informest and the Regional School Office FVG Region will supervise activities at local level stimulating the awareness of schools and VET poles as well as private sector of maritime technologies and tourism.
As a Regional Policy Makers the Region is in the position to transfer at policy level main project outcomes and providing its strategic adcvise to the expert technical group. The Region, being competent for the educational sector and vocational training coordination, is able to involve and motivate school institutes, in particular the upcoming Nautical Technical Pole of Trieste that may strongly benefit from this project and being a potential pilot for the implementation of training modules developed at transnational level. The Region is also interested and may stimulate the involvmente of Technological Cluster “MARE” that is part of the productive value chain linked to Blue Growth and smart speciliazation strategic area.
